The beachfront was nice, crowded by day, swimming access good.
The manager was a piece of work! Rude would be a nice word! The lake view upgrade at $220.00 a night was a sideways view of the corner of the lake. With the swimming pool pump running all night and many other distractions, the room would be even less appealing at $60.00 a night! My wife and I splurged for an anniversary weekend and found this place a mess! Laughingly, we viewed babies with diapers being taken off and floating in the water, children screaming to their parents, Johnny is going to the bathroom in the pool, and other worse things going on in the hot tub. Needless to say we only swam in the lake! If it were not for our love for each other, this would have been the worse weekend of our marriage! For reference, we travel as our profession not I the travel industry, and expect third world conditions in third world countries, not in Lake Tahoe for $220.00 a night two night minimum! We stayed at the Apex hotel later for $63.00 out the door and it was good value, not on the lake, but close enough to Emerald bay for evening hike!
The Price was Perfect and the staff friendly !
Location. Parking was excellent. Continental Breakfast. Hot tub. View from room. Very clean rooms. (Stayed in two)
Noisy neighbor with crying baby. First room was way too small, or the bed was too big . :-) No room for two people to move around.
Perfect situation in the lake
The staff, location, breakfast were perfect. We got what we need.
They need to be more careful about the cleaning. The towels and the sheets had long black hairs. I guess it was the problem of the staff who cleans them.
beautiful views of mtns and lake. relaxed, close to restaurants, access to long beachfront
Family Suite with full size kitchen in room 414.
Proximity to shops, restaurants, lake and ski resorts.
Too pricy for service quality and condition of facility. Hot water not running in a consistent manner. Staff too "dry" when it comes to a one-on-one conversation (then again this seems to be the general attitude all around the area.) Continental breakfast is a joke. Packed dining area with not enough room to help one's self.
price, friendly service, good water pressure in shower, hot tub, fridge in room
tiny bathrooms, old rooms with thin walls, no coffee maker or water boiler
Clean older property with a great location. Room was comfortable. Good value for holiday season.
Though room was clean and comfortable I felt like I was going back in history 25 years
Manager was very nice and helped us find a quieter room for the next night that we stayed. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Have free breakfast (although we didn't take advantage of this since we slept in)
Stayed on the 1st floor the first night close to the office and next to a storage room. Walls are thin and you can hear everything: cars starting, neighbors snoring, Maids talking, and banging from upstairs room.
Perfect location in North Lake Tahoe - close to skiing resorts - Squaw Valley, Alpine, and Norstar. Room was cleaned daily. It was well heated (it was 10F outside during the day). There is a nice restaurant - Jason's- nearby.
Free breakfast was adequate but boring. Bagels with cream cheese and jam were Ok but waffles or muffins could be added for variety.
Breakfast - nothing fancy but good enough that you don't have to go to a restaurant for more. Items were replenished promptly as they started to run low. Room was clean, beds very comfortable. Upstairs room, quiet.
High speed wireless - best to keep you expectations low. It took 10+ mins to get an ip at 8:30 P.M., and once connected, it was barely usable frequently dropping the connection. My guess is that their network capacity is far below what's needed to support everybody and their grandma trying to get online. Worked better at 6 A.M. with not as much traffic ... ~5Mbps ... decent.
